Moroccan food is known to rank among the finest in the world. It is characterized by its ample use of all kind of vegetables and spices as well as by the use of olive oil.

You absolutely have to try the typical couscous with 7 kinds of vegetables, wheat semolina and meat.

And as well a tagine, kind of stew with either fish, chicken or meat and vegetable, which is both cooked and served in a round earthen recipient with a conical and pointed lid (the recipient gave the dish its name: ‘tagine’).

Don’t forget the harira: a soup made from a puree of tomatoes, lentils, and chick peas with small pieces of meat in it. The soup owes its particular flavor to the use of plenty of fresh coriander and saffron.

And to finish your meal off: peppermint tea and Moroccan pastries; such as the famous ‘Cornes de Gazelle’ made of marzipan.
