Rabat
Rabat is the political and administrative capital of the kingdom. With its 900,000 inhabitants it is the second largest city of the country. Rabat has got the irresistible charm of a small town full of memories and the richness of wonderful monuments. One should not miss a visit to the Andalusian city wall, the big mosque, and the wool market; as well as the Kasbah of the Oudaïas, the Archaeological museum, the pottery village of Salé, the Merinidian Necropolis ‘Chellah’ and of course the Royal Palace, the Hassan tower and the Mausoleum Mohamed V - a masterpiece of Moroccan architecture - which houses the sarcophaguses of our King’s father and grandfather.
